"The self-employed create businesses based on their talents and competencies by adapting their work to fit their needs versus forcing them to adapt their talents to the needs of a corporation. This is the application of Ergonomics. The products or services they offer are mainly sustained by their individual capabilities and their disabilities disappear as a result. Also in this process, the individual proves to others their capacities are productive, growing more self-reliant and independent in shorter time frames. It is not only good for the individual and their families. It is a positive thing for society, and who knows, maybe in the future, the self-employment of individuals with disabilities can prove to corporations the big advantage of focusing more on the individual's capabilities than on their dis-abilities."
